My friend is looking for a good headset for around $150 CAD. Mostly for gaming and chatting with friends.
These are some I have been looking at...
Steelseries 9H
Corsair Vengeance 1500V2
Func HS 260
Corsair Vengeance 1400

If there are any others that would be great.

Thanks.

Func HS 260 is the best out of them all, but if you want to spend that much money you could also get a pair of nice headphones and a desktop microphone. Currently I use a pair of Audio Technica ATH-AD700X's and an Audio-Technica ATR-2500, you can tell I like Audio-Technica

My System Specs: (Short list) i7 4770k, GTX 780, many SSD's, a 2 TB HDD(deceased :( ), Corsair 650D. Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kchriz6097/saved/8dh7YJ

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory

Get a good pair of headphones and a separate mic, a ModMic or desktop mic. You can also get a clip on mic. It will always give you better sound quality.

if you want a headset and don't mind it being refurbished, look at the steelseries 7h on newegg for 39 bucks. it comes with the standard accessories and the usb sound card for 7.1 virtual. Mine are on the way now as I needed a decent headset for gaming and couldn't beat the 40 dollar price (although this depends on if newegg will give you that price up in Canada)

With today's technology I often wonder why we don't have colonies on the moon or Mars. Then I go to Wal Mart for 5 minutes and realize the vast majority of the human populace isn't ready for such things.

if you absolutely want a headset, get Sennheiser PC360's.

if you're open for other suggestions, you could try to get some Pioneer SE-A1000 off amazon.com and ship em up to Canada, along with like a Blue Snowflake or something like that.

You could also look at Sennheiser HD558 or 518.

or Superlux 681 or whatever they're called.

Sennheiser 558 + Antlion ModMic. There are no worth while headsets in my opinion. The bass is always too heavy and the sound is usually very tinny.

Dat PC 360 tho...

TO me it looks really sh*t simply because of the massive arm sticking out of it. It's shiny plastic to which looks terrible. But if you really wanted an all in one solution than the PC 360 is probably the best solution. But PC gamers like to choose everything themselves (I am guilt tripping you here, so feel guilty).

Guilt tripping me?

I'm just saying, the PC 360 is an HD 558 with a mic slapped on. Complain about aesthetics if you want, but that's a personal preference.

558 also looks more comfortable to me in the images. I just prefer to choose the mic and headphones separately that all. And yes it is personal preference. I hate shiney plastic.
