I've been trying to dial in GTA V settings for a while now. I have a i5 9400f and a gtx 1080. My monitor is 2560x1080 at 75hz. I get random lag spikes that last around 5 seconds. I've tried GeForce experience settings and no luck. If you have a similar setup and you have settings that work any help would be greatly appreciated.

These are the best GTA 5 graphic settings to maximize your fps without losing much visual fidelity...

You may want to set Shader Quality to High for a few subtle visual differences but you will sacrifice around 5-7 fps in doing so. Ambient Occlusion you can set to High as well but you will sacrifice around 3-5 fps. And setting Ambient Occlusion to Normal vs High makes no difference when it comes to fps so you either want High or Off. Every other individual settings are a lock, I assure you.

The settings I posted above are going to help with performance. I can't say they will help with lag spikes because lag spikes can be caused by a number of things such as not enough RAM, playing the game online in populated lobbies, your current drivers and if you have prior drivers still installed, CPU clocked too high, etc, etc.
