Can you use Ethernet switches with wifi extenders?

I have a wifi extender with one Ethernet switch can i use a Ethernet switch to get more ports or what are the alternatives.

Generally, yes, you should be able to use it with a switch but just keep in mind you'll still be limited by the speed of the wifi backhaul connection, divide that up among the number of things talking at once and you can see a good bit of speed loss if something else is pulling down say a large file and then you need to download a game as well.
