I have about $1200 dollars and was wondering what razer laptop I should get. I would like the most bang for my buck (screen size, resolution, cpu/gpu power, battery life, port selection, etc.) even if that means a little dated of a laptop. I specifically want a razer laptop. Hope someone can point me in the right direction!

Regardless I still want a razer.?

I would give that a really hard pass. Aesthetic is all well and good, but if your $1200 laptop turns out a $1200 paperweight, I doubt it looking nice will help with the disappointment.

You might be able to find a used/open box, or maybe even new 2018 razer blade 15 base for that price.  On prime day it went down to $1000. it's a I7-8750h, 16 gb ram, gtx 1060 max q, 128 gb ssd and 1 tb hard drive, 60 hz panel, just look on ebay, amazon, or even craigslist, i saw someone local near me selling one for $950. it retails for $1599 but is pretty much always on sale.

Pretty sure Dave2D on YouTube recommended getting this used model on one of his videos too. Why is there so much concern about the quality control though.

i got the 2019 base model with the 2060, plan on adding a 1 tb ssd to compliment the 512 m2 in it, i bought a best buy warranty for it, so if i have any problems, they'll just give me a refund. but hoping that doesn't happen, as it is a really nice machine

how much was the 2060 model??

Normally $2000, but they have a student deal that brings it down to $1900. There were a few reasons I went for the 2060 model. Mainly that it has the 2060, which has double to performance. And comes standard with 512 gb NVME and an open 2.5 slot. It also has the 144 hz screen, But it looks like it might be out of your budget.
