I don't know the full extent of your situation, but I am just saying that going to school will give you such a better education you will be glad you did it. Just give it some thought before making a decision.

I have trust. Me but my situation only allows for online unfortunately

Then do whatever you think is best for you, but the one online school that I can say I know is credited in most areas is the University of Phoenix. My government teacher got his Masters from there.

All of these schools profit off of you, that is how they stay afloat.

And Maybe they are bad, but I know people that have gone there.

Not computer engineering, but IT: https://www.scps.nyu.edu/academics/degree-programs/online.html

Also, I will also chime in, as a full time college student, it really is beneficial to get a degree from a public institution.

I've heard some bad things about devry myself too, but I actually know a programmer who graduated from devry and he's been pretty well off.

Work was found within 6 months of graduating and he's been working for about 2 years now. Good stuff, it just depends on how luck you are I guess. Of course employers might look at you differently when they see that you graduated from devry but it really depends on who the interviewer is and how you present yourself.

It falls to the employer and what they think. Legally they cant discriminate, but you'd be surprised how many times it happens.

As someone who just recently graduated in computer information systems and has taken online courses I can tell you the ones I've taken were crap. You would truly be better going to actual classes. There is just more hands on and more interaction in an actual classroom.

My university offered lots of night classes there were typically 3 hours long and once a week. You could still also take some classes online while taking your core classes in person. I know you have said that you are currently working a full time job with overtime, but you would almost need to put some of work aside and focus on getting a degree. Finical aid is available to help you pay for school, and you could get grants and offers for loans to help you live on. Seriously go to one of your local universities and see if you can set up a meeting with some sort of advisor.

thats one of my main problems I can't get financial aid(not gonna go into it) or any other sort of government aid like food stamps or anything so I need to work, I'm gonna try devry for a but because I am having it set up so I am taking more classes at once then normal and I'll just stay up all night doing it so I can get my 4 year degree in just over 2 then if it ended up not being too good I'll just get a master's at an actual University after as I will be in a better position to do that then

It kind of is..

what forums are you looking at, exactly?

many different ones opinions seem to be like split down the middle, either way I'm just gonna try it out first get the bachelor's degree, because I talked to Syracuse University and they said they will accept any bachelor's degree to accept me into their online masters program, so I really just need a bachelor's to get into a master's program not to get a job

Just be careful to make sure you don't get loansharked, and take extra caution to check that the credits are transferable, because many credits (consequently degrees) are not held as legitimate from some for profit colleges.
