Cross OS????

Go to solution Solved by roberto++,

DOTA 2 is cross platform meaning if you have ubuntu and your friend has windows, you can play in the same game.

I have friends who have macs and they play dota 2 with my windows friends.

I have a LAN party coming up and have recently installed ubuntu on an old laptop.

I was wondering weather I can install Dota 2 on it and play across OS.

Can you play across windows to ubuntu??

Thanks.

Thing!

P.S: Not really sure is this is in the right place please move wherever it should be!

what do you mean??

Well I'm not an expert and I don't understand how some of the software works but, it'll be hard for the computer to comprehend which OS to boot from, + a substancially large boot drive for a laptop maybe required with included mass storage if you're keeping a large amount of data besides the 2 OS's

I haven't any experience downloading either and switching between the two.

If anything you should ask this guy maybe... ---> @tmcclelland455
