Ryzen 5 2600, Gtx 1060, 8gb ram, games underperforming

Hello, im not an expert at pc's but i recently built my pc:

Ryzen 5 2600

GTX 1060 6gb 

8gb of ram 

and i noiticed that others who have the same setup have a lot more fps than me, for an example in csgo i should be getting 250+ but im getting around 120 fps 

any suggestions why and is there a way to fix it?

i have latest gpu drivers, i have low settings and 1920x1080

Few questions:

  • RAM Speed?
  • Temps when gaming?
  • CPU and GPU Utilisation when gaming?

Ryzen benefits massively from fast RAM so even if you have a fast kit you should check that it's not running at 2133MHz.

If your temps are really low but your utilisation is also low then it's probably a software issue.

If your temps are really high and it's causing throttling then it could be a cooling issue or defective hardware.
