Can LiteCoin mining kill GPU

OK Guys I'm new to litecoin mining and have no experience in it.

I'm using Cudaminer for mining

i have a 780Ti nd wanted to know if running it miner will kill the gpu or harm it in anyway nd is it safe.

 

its running at full load at ~83C

CPU: i7 3820 4.0GHz  CPU Cooler: Corsair H80  RAM: 16GB 1600MHz  MotherBoard: ASUS Sabertooth x79  GPU: EVGA 780 ti  PSU: Cougar GX1050 80plus gold  CASE: Antec 1100

It will kill it just like gaming or anything else. It will die at some point, but if you let it run hot it will die faster.

More higher demanding use is obviously going to decrease the lifespan, but I wouldn't worry unless you plan on mining with this thing 12+ hours a day.

69c should be alright, or not?

69C should be fine most GPU's are mostly in the 70's at full usage, but are you using the fan's at max?

no it's on auto. Max is too loud because it's my everyday computer

It's not the temps themselves, rather being on load for 24/7 will increase the likelihood of failure. A Sapphire rep had also warned about running cards close to full load all the time.

ok i increased the fan speed 

now the temps are ~74C

 

is it ok now

I use my rigs to heat my apartment so all r9 290s run at 92C 24/7. I will report back if they start to die :D

Well running @ 100% 24/7 can reduce the lifetime- but I seriously doubt it is a big impact (I know that they said running a Raspi @ turbo mode takes lifetime of the SoC from 15 years to 12, which is too long to use a chip anyway!)
