About a week ago I noticed a significant drop in WIFI speed, from about 90-100 Mbps to 5-6 Mbps, I have tried everything the internet has had to offer so far, so if anyone has some advice id love to hear it.

I have tried almost everything, including replacing my wifi card, with nothing seeming to improve the speeds, However, I got the chance to bring my computer over to a friends house, and my wifi had no problems there. ( and before you say my wifi at home is slow, I have speed tested with another laptop next to mine, and seen a difference of up to 90 Mbps between the other laptop and mine ( same wifi card in both computers )  I have a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 gaming with a GTX 1050, intel core i5-7300HQ, 16gb dual-channel memory, windows 10, 64 bit. any insight is appreciated

This might seem dumb, but for the sake of sanity I would like to ask: were you connected to a 5Ghz WiFi network when you were getting 90Mbps? If you were, I'd just sanity check to make sure you didn't accidentally switch to 2.4Ghz.
I've noticed on 2.4Ghz the speed cap is around 60Mbps but that still is a far cry away from the 5-6 you are reporting.

Also, were those numbers taken in the same room as the router?

Again, I'm sorry if those questions seemed dumb. I'm just trying to get more information.

Yes, I was on 5ghz both times, I've had it happen before where I connect to the wrong one, so that was one of the first things I checked :)

Is it only for that laptop or is it acting up on like your phone too?
It is possible that it could be a router problem. This area isn't my expertise, so I cant guarantee anything

**EDIT**

I feel like I've had this issue before too, I just can't remember for the life of me how I fixed it.

Have you tried a different wireless card?

If you don't have access to one, most Android Phones support USB Tethering / Wireless Hotspot with WiFi sharing (using an existing WiFi network instead of data)

install on your smartphone wifi analyzer, to see on what frequencies you find more wifi signals, use the channels less saturated, avoid channels saturated

change channel, on router, if it is 2.4ghz use channel 9, usually that or 11 is mostly unused, routers usually take channel 1,6 or 7

if it is 5ghz put 112

if your router has antennas see if you can aim them in different angles each one

if you have a wireless phone for a landline, using 2.4ghz near the router, move it away the router to avoid it as source of noise for your signals
