how much flow rate is enough?

i was thinking of buying EK's phoenix kit since they're dirt cheap nowadays to replace my aging(and loud) dark rock pro 3

my question is:is the flowrate of 150L/h enough to support extra radiators and blocks in the future?

gaming system: R7 3700X @ 4.25Ghz cpu / B450 STEEL LEGEND mobo / 4x8gb corsair Vengeance @3333Mhz ram / RX 7900XTX pulse gpu / Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 cpu cooler /Coolermaster Qube 500 case / Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 12 1500w power supply

 

laptop: Dell xps 9510, 3.5k OLED, i7 11800h, rtx 3050 ti, 2x16gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz, 1TB main drive, 2TB add in ssd

Doesn't sound like enough to me.

 

I have a DDC rated 600 L/h running at 40%. Assuming a linear level that's 240 L/h which isn't even enough to pull any trapped air out of high points. I consider 40% enough for my uses but I do turn it up occasionally.

Id rather spend more and have better performance. Flow goes a long way with multiple rads. But that also depends if you care about chasing that 3-5c difference it could yield.

1 GPM is enough. Beyond that you get diminishing returns.

 

1 GPM is about 227 LPH.

 

Minimum recommend would be 0.5 GPM, thats about 114 LPH.

 

So long as your between those two you fine.

in my case, spending more means spending about double to get the equivalent rad

Ok so that isn’t the context at all. You just said it would cost more for an equivalent rad. 

 

If you dont mind turning the fans up to try and make up for the lack of flow then go the cheaper route. Simple answer, the flow isn’t good to begin with, but depends on the components and what you’re expecting to achieve.
