I am struggling with a complex issue here. I am building a computer for a friend, and can't decide if I want to recycle old parts that I have, or buy new ones for his pc. Suggestions? The parts are an Asrock AM3+ 970 Extreme 3 motherboard and a FX-6300 cpu.

What are the new parts you are adding? Also that combo isn't bad, I'd say sell it to him for a lower price.

Why not give him the homey discount and sell him your old parts.

It would benefit you both.

The other parts are an itx asrock fm2a88x motherboard and an athlon II 760k processor. I planned on giving him a discount, just unsure if I should give him parts that have been overclocked for several months or over a year. I upgraded motherboards during the life of my 6300
