Possible build issue?

Hey guys so im upgrading my board/cpu/ram and i came across this possible issue in my pc part picker will it not work? thanks for any help!

You need to find a x470 or b470 board with bios flash back or grab 1-2 second gen ryzen to flash newest bios.

 

Essentially almost all of MSI board have this feature or you can ask your retailer to do flash new bios as some retailers offer this service.

would you know a good board that would not have this issue that does not blow the bank?

Tomahawk is one of the best b450 boards out there which supports bios flashback (flashing bios without a CPU). I'd recommend dual channel ram. Also, I'll recommend you to skip sli, because newer games don't scale pretty well with sli.

Also, you can sell those 970's and get yourself something like a used Vega 56/64.

Tomahwak range is good choice. You will need x470 range if you want SLI.

I know that b450 doesn't support sli.

I'd recommend selling one of his 970's.

i would prefer to keep the sli because it has worked very well for me do you know a good board with sli? or what to look for?

For sli support, you'll need a x470 board.

how do i tell the vendor to update the flash bios if im buying on newegg?
