Have an app that has stuff cheap like really cheap but can't verify the legitimacy of the item should I gamble on the purchase it only being a dollar? I'm not tech savi in the slightest to computers so I don't even know if the rig is a good buy or not

Ive been with the same bank (US Bank) for 15+ years.  Any time I have an issue with anything I can call them for refund.  They refund me first, investigate second.  Im sure if it was a healthy amount of money it would be different but I do Online purchases near daily.  And once in a while you get scammed regardless (or a seller that disappears after the sale) - I just call them up, explain the situation and its refunded. 

 

For example, I purchased a Newegg Open Box stereo system.  What I received was someone elses RMA (sticker still present for RMA and the return address label with the previous customers address.  Upon calling Newegg they said it falls under the Open Box rules on their website (blown amp as soon as I plugged it in) and I was out of luck.

 

USBank on the other hand, heard my dispute coupled with the proof I had of a previous RMA gave me a refund immediately.  Not sure how it turned out for Newegg (don't care) but USBank is a bit bigger than they are so I doubt they put up a fight and just gave my money back to USBank.
