What kind of temperatures are you guys hitting on your 3600s?

There's not much data out there at the moment and I'm not sure if what I'm getting is normal or not.

I'm using an NH-D15 and am hitting the following:-

Gaming: 60-70

Prime95 small FFTs: 80

Cinebench R20: 67-70

if you're asking for stats like that it's important to mention the frequency and voltage being used.

Interesting. I have a NH-D9L on mine, and it is hitting 80C running 128k FFTs (for practical purposes, small). I'm wondering if it is a power density thing. Ambient around 25C.

Just got a 3700X today to put in another system, will see if that is worse or not.

Stock is not consistent unless you have the exact same MB, BIOS revision, and windows power plan.

It'll be good enough for starters. Windows power plan shouldn't affect it unless you have some silly custom settings applied. Mobo/bios maybe a little, especially with the recent update to "fix" the boost. Ambient differences are probably a greater factor than any of these.

My 3600 at stock everything hits 80 with the stock cooler when playing rainbow six siege. I haven’t had time to tinker with it yet, tonight I’ll see if I can fix this.

I think its just something related to software as i too get higher temps with my 3600 overclocked or otherwise.

Methinks this may get fixed by software updates or even BIOS revisions.

I also am running the stock cooler but i dont think this has anything to do with it, there is no way in heck the processor is running 50 degrees even on the stock cooler even on the wraith as its a great stock cooler not to mention the TDP of the 3600.

Methinks its something to do with software and or the BIOS (i have x570 so early adoption issues are to be expected)

Also on NH-D15, ambient is low-20's. Stock clocks, 62.5 mV undervolt.

I'm gaming at mid-50's, video encoding/benching at high 60's. Nothing to worry about, IMO.

(However, the idle spikes are very annoying; had to use some pretty aggressive fan smoothing to stop them ramping up and down.)
