There's another chart further down with what coolers have upgrade kits for AM4 available. The 212 Evo is on that list.

What CPU are you cooling? And are you planning on overclocking it?

Currently a I5 4570 with a stock cooler but Im buying a Ryzen 7 3700x realitvely soon and do plan to overclock when I feel comfortable and have time to do so.
(as a side note) I wont be using the 212 on my I5 since I cant remove the bracket. Its some bare bones oem motherboard I pulled from my old office PC to hold me over until Ryzen 3000 released.

You're going to want more than a 212 Evo then. Get something like the Noctua NH-D15 (https://amzn.to/2LcLi8Q), BeQuiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 (https://amzn.to/2YNT2Bp), or a 240mm+ AIO.

Suppose I should have mentioned what RAM I was using too. My bad.
Will the NH-D15 be high enough for G.Skill TridentZ?

Doesn't look like it will be. Might want to get an AIO then, that way you're not blocking your fancy RAM with a massive chunk of metal and fans.

It does look like the Dark Rock Pro 4 should have enough clearance, but you'll have to be sure to install the RAM first because it'll be a really close fit.

They both overhang but clear the ram.

What case are you using? Budget?

I dont have a fixed budget but I dont have money spilling out of my pockets either.
I only planned to spend around $100 max on CPU air cooling hence why I wanted a 212 Evo. Cheap and effecient.

Sorry forgot to mention that part. NZXT 500.

If you want oc'ing room for later, I'd recommend getting something beefier like the Macho Rev. B: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/4TCrxr/thermalright-cpu-cooler-machorevb
