Overclocking i7 4790k

I think i am going to try and overclock my CPU for the first time! The only problem...I have no idea what im doing and am very worried.


I have a 240mm EK cooling loop and i hope that this will be sufficient...

 

I don't even think that overclocking is that worth it? I only game and don't think that it will make much of a difference

Just find your motherboard model and watch a tutorial that will explain everything pls dont play with the voltages unless you know what you are doin. I cant exactly help you because my motherboard right now is an ASUS, if you have an MSI board especially an older one, a lot of things can be different.

that is the other thing as well, i dont excatly have the best of motherboards going. Becuase my old MB broke i had to get a new one earlier this year and finding MBs for 4th gen cpus is easier said than done

So dont mess with stuff if you dont know what you are doin your cooling is very good just find a tutorial for your specific motherboard and follow that.

not on eBay, there are tons of Z87 boards for good prices.
