so my current computer has been going strong for 3 and a bit years now and recently within the last couple weeks ive run in to a stop error (bsod). but the weird thing is that my stop code isn't very consistent, here are a few I have gotten:

1. KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE

2. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

3. CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED

I have also gotten other ones that I cant remember. but here is the thing I got them over and over so I did a fresh install and deleted all partitions while doing so. rebooted stuff seemed to be fine. nod I get the BSOD randomly and not frequent but still the same case of different stop codes.here is a list of what I tried:

complete reset

memory check

terminal restore

none have worked

please help!

These are significant errors.

1. KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE

This can be related to memory issues or malware. So you should check that your memory slots are in order and that your memory isn't bad. You can check this by running memtest86.

2. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

This is essentially an issue with your graphics driver. What graphics card is in the machine? What drivers is it using? Have they been cleanly uninstalled and reinstalled using DDU?

3. CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED

This is likely the result of severely damaged components of Windows itself. Likely caused by the above two issues.

What are the specs of your computer? Did these issues start after a Windows update or a hardware change? Have you updated the BIOS of your motherboard lately?

So you already made reset (not so good idea if you're not sure what is a problem) and check your memory (this is actually good idea). Now you can try to disable overclocking (if you have any) and underclock your gpu using MSI Afterburner. I would try to use single ram stick anyway too (even after memory test) just to be sure. All depends how often you have BSODs.

Another step (or even fist) would be run AdwCleaner and use Autoruns to check what is starting with your system (but since you made reset, it's very small chance that you have a virus).

Also - if you're using any manufacturer's programs (like Asus or MSI magic tools to improve your system / hardware performance) - uninstall it.

I7 7700k stock

4x8 GB ddr4 Corsair vengeance

msi z-170a pro

gtx 1060 3gb

corsair rm650x

samsung 850 evo (c drive)

1tb seagate barricuda

2tb seagate barricuda

No update or hardware change.

i recently updated to the last one a bsod occurred after I did.

its hard to test due to the bsod being uncommon. But seems to happen every couple of days. Before reset it was very frequent
