Rx 570 40 fps in GTA 5 on all different possible set

HypedKid

So I decided to play some GTA 5 after long time not playing and I saw that my fps are really low, I was getting about 70fps avg on max settings with same pc, now I get 40fps avg on all settings, idk what happened, I didn't do any upgrades....

System:

2200g

8gb ram 2666mhz

Rx 570 4gb

500w psu

Also no overheating

You did plug your monitor into the rx 570 and not the motherboard right?

I had a similar issue with my 2400g/RX 570/8 gb 3200mhz RAM playing the Division 2. It was running around 30-40 fps and was very choppy, I knew something was very wrong. I found in my case that it was using an older directx version. Once I selected for the game to use (DX12, I think) it ran ~60 fps on high settings. Since this is an older game, that may not be the case but I'd check to see if your video drivers are up to date. If all else fails, you could uninstall and re-install the game.

Have you checked if vsync is on or any frame limiter? If so turn these off.
