Max gpu for i5 3570k

oskar23

Whats the best card this cpu can handle? I wanted to upgrade pc for years but never decided to do it. Busy, lazy and kinda dont wanna mess with all files, games,  programs that i installed through years. And yet, this cpu does well with gpu that i have but i want try some 4k gaming on 43 screen. I play mostly battlefield  3 these days. Dont wanna get gtx 2080 ti if it will be blocked by cpu.

if you're playing at 4k then you shouldn't really reach a cpu bottleneck with something like a 1080 or 1080 ti

Just run bf3 on ultra with gtx 950 and its not as bad as i thought it would be. ~40 fps. 1080 ti should be just fine?

If it were me I wouldn't go faster than a 2060.

I mean BF3 is a 2011 game. The best GPU around that time was GTX 580 I think. I'm pretty sure 950 is pretty close to 580.

BF games are notoriously brutal on CPU.  Other games, you'll not see a bottleneck of any type going to a 2080ti.

Just depends on the frames the card can make. You can still have an issue with that cpu. But a 1080 should still be over the 100 FPS range at 4K for that game. The card is cheap enough to get it and try or a 2060.

GTX 590 if we're getting technical. Keep in mind this is back when SLI was actually worth something.
