So this is the situation:

I want to get my bearings before 7/7 so I'll be ready to build ASAP. I already have a 1080ti cooled by kraken g12 and kraken x62. Am planning to build a 3900x pc for game dev, gaming and lots of productivity. I'm worried about overspending. These are my questions:

  • Can the Meshify C fit two 280mm AIOs? Is there anything better noise/performance wise than Kraken X62 (Noctua fans)?
  • 32gb 3200mhz cl16 ram or 16gb? If 16gb then what speed might x570 support?
  • Seasonic Prime Titanium 750W overkill or no?
  • I'm planning on getting 1tb PCIe storage. Wait for Gen4? Would it even matter if I get 3500 read or 5000.
  • Best color accurate/high refresh GSYNC monitor? Preferably below 1.5k.
  • Should I be worried about a rise in prices due to overall demand and buy any components before 7/7?

Budget for the pc is 2200€ (I'm from EU) but I don't know if I need to spend that much for my needs. Monitor is secondary right now, I need the pc to make more money anyway.

I would worry you might need larger than a 280mm for your CPU.

I don't think you'll have to worry about memory speeds.  As in -- buy as fast as you'd like, but expect the best performance around 3600MHz ~ 3733MHz.

It's not gross overkill.

Don't know what your workflow is like, but if you don't mind losing a little money then buy a NVMe drive now and then upgrade later.  Then decide if you want to sell the first one.

No clue on the monitor.

I don't know what sites are like with their pricing in Europe.

Could you send us some local PC part websites? Also do German websites ship to Estonia?

amazon.de ships free to Estonia for the most part. I'll probably order most of the build from 1a.ee since their prices are quite similar. arvutitark.ee is also an option.

Use this website, it should help a lot. I would wait until a bit after 7/7 to buy, it will be very overpriced just after launch.

  • No, Meshify C can only accommodate 120 mm & 240 mm in the top. The Meshify S can accommodate a 280mm rad in the top. Both cases can have a 280mm rad in the front.
  • You will have to wait for release before knowing that.
  • Sure it's overkill but 12 year warranty and superb power delivery is nothing to sneeze at.
  • PCIe 4 M.2 NVMe ssd are already announced and should be available soon. The faster storage might be noticeable in long compiles, builds, renders, etc.
  • Current Nvidia drivers support some freesync monitors. Color accurate with high refresh may not be an easy combination to find.
  • CPU and motherboard pricing may be affected by demand, but until you have independent reviews purchasing would be quite risky. Better to wait.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
