Go to solution Solved by Derrk,

try uninstalling the gpu & plugging the monitor into the motherboard. Sounds like a probable gpu issue, but it's also possible that the power supply is dying

Ok my pc specs

-i5 2500

-intel DZ68DB motherboard

-12gb ddr3 ram

-rx 460

-wd wd10jpcx 1tb

-hp ps-5301-08 hc power supply  300w

wont show display and when turned on GPU fan goes on then off for a sec and goes back on. So if any one knows what to do pls tell me.

So, those parts won't ever come close to using 300 watts of power, but its certainly possible that quality or age of the PSU.... just isn't up to it.

But, looks like that motherboard has integrated video. So you should try pulling the rx 460 out and seeing if you can get display out of the motherboards on board display ports. If so, you are likely having a GPU issue, or a possible power issue, although this will be hard to figure out. I would start with pulling the video card out and seeing what it does.
