Under preforming issue

Hello friends,

 

I'm unsure if I've got an under preforming issue with my computer cus when I play rainbow six siege (my most active game) it seems I don't get the right fps, is it normal to get between 50 - 110 fps on all low settings. Just wondering here's my specs below:

 

I5 7400

Rx 580 8GB

8 GB RAM single channel

128 GB SSD (installed rainbow six siege on)

 

I hope I could get this resolve, this has been going on for a while.

Seems somewhat normal, except for FPS drops. Have you checked CPU/GPU/RAM usage during play session?

Yes I do have a fps dropping issue for my CPU and RAM usage would be around 60 - 70 %, but for my GPU is this normal?

its normal, te cpu is at 100% playing siege XD

Nah mate my CPU and RAM usage seems normal it's my GPU usage got any ideas?

set gpu to maximum performance *driver* and windows power options , could be throttling it back for power saving

Is that a setting in AMD's software? Currently my power option is set to Balanced

Can't find a max performance mode, but you can adjust some graphics settings.

Try loading a profile maybe? Is your Windows Power plan High Performance?Not balanced or power saver?

I just changed the settings and benchmarked and still get between 116 and 49 fps.

What kind of resolution are you playing on?

That is very odd then.. What's your cpu temp when playing and idle? I have the same cpu on one of my pc's, can compare it if you want,maybe it's throttling or something. @ZacTimTam I get 60 - 150 fps with mixed medium to high settings, with gtx 1060 6 gb.

Well it's currently winter here in Melbourne, my CPU while gaming only goes up to 40 degrees max on my hottest core.

55 for me, 27,5 celsius ambient temp in my apartment. Not throttling for sure then.

It has to be the GPU here that's the issue.
