Should i change my A8-5500 with A8-7600 ?

Hello guys! So thing is, i got new gpu (rx 460) and my processor is a8 5500, as i noticed cpu is bottlenecking gpu so im looking to change it. I have Lenovo 10117 and my budget is not big, but i found A8 7600 for cheap (20usd) and thinking to buy it. So, the question is - is it worth it? And will it even fit my pc.

The 7600 uses socket FM2+, whereas the 5500 uses socket FM2. FM2 works on FM2+, but FM2+ does not work on FM2.

My guess is it won't work in your PC. If the socket is FM2+ and not FM2, then it might.

Based on this Geekbench test (mainly the info about the PC attached), the Lenovo 10117 has an FM2 socket. So that'd be a no. http://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/1585834

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

You might be able to find an A10-6700. That should work in there. (65W TDP just like your 5500, and uses FM2.)

Should give about a 20% performance boost over your A8 5500. Looks like that's your highest performance option while sticking to the 65W TDP of your current CPU.

I'm not sure how the cooler in your PC will handle it though. (Not sure if it'll run hotter or not, hopefully it'll be about the same.)
