hey everyone!

I read a few posts and saw some helpful comments that's why I decide to write my own topic and see if you guys can help me as well.

I have two PCs

first one :

Gigabyte h97-gaming 3

I54460

strix 960 GTX

samsung EVO 750 250gb

Baracuda 1tb

8GB ram

second one:

Asus M4A88TD-V evo/ubs3

AMD PHENOM II x4 965

Baracuda 2tb

samsung evo 750 250gb

Amd R7 360

and I can put down 500$ + whatever these two are worth.

---------------------------------------

Now I want to replace these two and have two new pc (or any other solution you guys can recommend) for two different usage.

one for gaming and streaming and the other for video editing (long videos)\

I'd appreciate it very much if you guys could help me with this.

Do you need two PC's? Just curious on the context.

One system built with modern parts can do all of these tasks extremely easily

I need two PCs because two people use them sometimes at the same time.

I would get something like this:

PCPartPicker Part List
Type Item Price
CPU AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2 GHz 6-Core Processor $109.89 @ OutletPC
Motherboard ASRock - B450M PRO4 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard $75.61 @ OutletPC
Memory G.Skill - Ripjaws 4 Series 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR4-2666 Memory $36.99 @ Newegg
Case Thermaltake - Versa H15 MicroATX Mid Tower Case $39.99 @ Walmart
Power Supply Corsair - CXM (2015) 450 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply $42.98 @ Newegg
Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts
  Total (before mail-in rebates) $340.46
  Mail-in rebates -$35.00
  Total $305.46
  Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-06-20 20:42 EDT-0400

then reuse the storage and video card of each of your old ones.

Or look for used 4th gen+  i7 Dell Optiplex's and throw in a graphics card like an RX 570.

By the way, make sure to quote when you reply- just so we get notifications

Multiply by 2, yeah.

Your budget is small so I would reuse as much as you can of your current systems as possible.

ok, two questions:

what's the big difference between mini version and normal version of the Motherboards and is it worth it to put more money into to get regular motherboards?

also with the setup you suggested, will I be able to upgrade it piece by piece? like buying a better GPU later. since I'll have to use my old one for a while.

I was gonna ask how about the 1600 but I saw the price...rip XD

mATX is another form factor. ATX will have more PCIe slots and maybe some other little things. I can almost guarantee that you won't be losing anything.

Yes you'll be able to upgrade piece by piece. You can easily throw in a 1660 ti or something of the like in the future.

Quick other thing- the ryzen 3xxx chips will be coming out soon as well. When they do, I expect the price of the 1600 to come down even more by a little bit.

But yeah, no problem. Good luck on your journey haha
