Thinking about upgrading Gaming PC

Hi there

So I really want to upgrade my 2013 Gaming PC

My specs right now are:

Intel Core i7 4770 / 3.4 GHz / 3.9 GHz Turbo Boost

Nvidia GTX 760

2x 8 RAM DDR3 ( one is completely new )

Full specs are here

I want at least a new GPU and motherboard ( got various different bluescreens without having specific problem.. Someone looked into it and he guessed its the motherboard )

Few considerations:

1) AMD Ryzen 5 3600 will release early July and I am really tempted to switch to AMD ( Problem: Only DDR4 is supported and I would need new RAM )

2) Apparently DDR5's should be at the market in end 2019 ( if thats true I have no Idea when there will be affordable Motherboards out for it)

Waiting until ? 2020 ? DDR5 Motherboards ?

New CPU + GPU + Motherboard + DDR4 RAM?

Do something else and keep Dual 8g DDR3 RAM?

I care alot about money, BUT I really want to invest in something good that I can use the next 5 - 10 years

I am happy for every suggestion, hope its interesting for others aswell.

When DDR5 hits the scene it won't be a game changer so having a DDR4 rig isn't exactly something to avoid. The 3600 will be a strong contender for value, so it's definitely a good choice, what kind if budget did you want for the graphics card, as well as the whole system?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

5 years might be able to. 10 years? GL. the best 700$ CPU 10 years ago gets beat by a 50$ cpu

Nah if that's the case memory makers wont bother making 16Gb chips which allow 32GB non-REG sticks.

for GPU + CPU + Motherboard I'd like to spent about 350 - 500 Euro = 400 - 550 Dollar

When I decide for a new gen CPU I'd have to buy DDR4 RAM's aswell so in that case closer to the first number

You can get a new graphics card now. You can always move it to a new system down the road. What power supply do you have.  Used RX 580s are a real bargain right now on Ebay

there is not many options with such a tight budget in any case.

a new cpu which is better than yours costs anything from 150EURO

a GPU is starting from 100EURO for used mining card

the motherboard is around 100 EURO

+RAM is around 80 Euro for 16GB (the cheapest option)

The BSOD might be caused by CPU overheating due to intel TIM - this way you can always delid it and see how it performs. (it will cost around 10 euro)
