Time for upgrade?

I'm using i5 4670k with 1660ti in almost every game my gpu usage is around 15-30% while my cpu usage is around 75-100% 

Is my cpu holding me back? Should I upgrade?

what game is that? I think it's just CPU thermal throttling

Ryzen 3rd gen it's on the way so I think it's a great time to upgrade

You should. The old i5 has only 4 cores. You'd need a Ryzen 5 or a modern i5 to utilize the GPU better.

 

But something else is strange - that GPU usage is a lot lower than it should (on average) be. Are you running 1080p?
