Pc upgrade

Hello, I have an amd a4 6300 with 8 gigs of ram lying around and I would like to add a discrete GPU on it to play games. I am planning to get a gtx 750ti or an rx 460. Here in my area, they are almost the same price (used) which one do you think is the better gpu? Or if someone can suggest another gpu that will not cause the cpu to bottleneck that would be a great help! Thanks!

IMO, any relatively powerful graphics card will bottleneck an old dual core cpu with a 2218 passmark score. It would be fine as an extra PC for email, office tasks or maybe you can turn it into a retro gaming emulator. Personally, I wouldn't invest in a discrete GPU for it. 

 

You 'could' buy an AMD A8 off ebay that will fit into the CPU slot and a RX 460 would give you much better results. Probably not worth the cost though.
