Gtx 960 installation

Noob question. 

I have just bought a used gtx 960 but it doesn't have any cables for extra power. What do I need to get it to work? It has 2 6pin connections. Do I need to use both?

It might work with just one but it will power throttle you better just get 2 6 pins

Yes you need both and your psu should have the cables. Either attached directly or option if it's modular.

I don't think my psu is has the connectors. I know it has molex but think I might need a new one

why would you buy 960 when u can get rx 570 4gb.

Yes if your psu dont hae one buy some 450-550w psu which has those.

with 960 u cant exept good gaming performance. (anymore)

Tier lists for building a PC.

 

Motherboard tier list. Tier A for overclocking 5950x. Tier B for overclocking 5900x, Tier C for overclocking 5800X. Tier D for overclocking 5600X. Tier F for 4/6 core Cpus at stock. Tier E avoid.

(Also case airflow matter or if you are using Downcraft air cooler)

Gpu tier list. Rtx 3000 and RX 6000 not included since not so many reviews. Tier S for Water cooling. Tier A and B for overcloking. Tier C stock and Tier D avoid.

( You can overclock Tier C just fine, but it can get very loud, that is why it is not recommended for overclocking, same with tier D)

Probably because the 960 is usually even cheaper
