I tried to download minecraft from minecraft.net but it won't let me. I went to the help section and it says that many credit card providers don't allow purchases from outside the US because of some law.

You must use a US issued debit or credit card to purchase the game within the US. Mojang does not accept prepaid cards, if you are attempting to use a prepaid card you are out of luck.

Check the error the payment gateway is reporting. If it says your card is declined, verify the information on the card. You must also ensure that you are using the correct billing address on record with your bank.

Oh they do, at least in my country. You get an activation code directly.

Why don't you just buy it for $1.00 - $2.00 on eBay and call it a day?
