Linus Tech Tips Video Topics

Is it only me or anyone else also thinks that the main focus of LTT Videos is just gaming and gaming laptops? Like there are more uses of laptops and powerful CPUs too ? We just don't game on them. Instead of saying things like "it provides better performance and FPS during gaming", you can also say that "it results in the lower time taken for rendering a video" or try to go for something on the development side too. Like, please stop talking about just games.

Problem is that their background isn't in programming or 3D modelling or doing anything more deeper than that. They could wonder into video editing, but compared to what Level1 does, LTT content would still be just a scratch on the surface.

Besides teams background, their main focus group is still bunch of gaming kids (no offense, this goes to everyone under 30). If you just take a look at New builds section of forum, that tells what kind of use people are getting their hardware for. Mainly gaming and streaming. Sure some are doing other tasks like video editing, photo editing, 3D modelling and rendering and so on. But those are in minority.

They are.

Have you noticed the Blender, VRay, Premiere, Firefox compile, and other benchmarks they include when they do hardware reviews? They've had them for a while now.

BUT, you have to remember that the majority of their audience is gamers, not developers, not video editors, not 3d modelers. So they make their videos to reach the majority of their audience.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/
