Wich memory do i choose for my i9-9990k?

My main concern is about wich memory do i choose for my rig... I have 3 options in mind (the websites listed below are in portuguese, sorry )

3rd gen Ryzen... though I assume Polish prices can mean an extra month for price to settle.

Wait for zen 2. Half or three quarters of a month untill it drops. 

 

Honestly no point at all getting a 9900k untill then.

because outside larger markets (US, CA, DE, UK), basically everyone else get a bit of delay when it comes to new product's supply. Priorities you know. Before that, retailers in smaller markets tend to list absurd prices to grab money.

 

Poland is already in the better part of the world. South east asian markets for example are all affected apart from Singapore, but then they have some really heavy taxes so they arent getting parts cheap either. African... idk, could be worse.

 

EDIT just found out it's Portugal, not Poland. Same issue tho

About the RAMs, is it really worth the 40€ difference between the Crucial and the HyperX? The difference is that the HyperX speed is 2666MHz and the Crucial 3200MHz, but the CPU maximum is 2666MHz anyways.

Btw, i switched the modo to the MSI MEG Z390 ACE, according to the guide here on the forum is in a higher tier!

About the Ryzen, i was about to choose the 2920X or the 1950X, but the power consuption pushed me back as it was a tie between both of them and the i9-9990k

And a question that i'm asking myself after read some forums: can i put 4 sticks of ram in the i9-9990k??

overclocking can break that limit every day in a week. 9900k can at least do 4000MHz on its memory controller

9900k draws about 160w to show its full 4.7GHz all core turbo's potential, so no it's no better in power draw. Threadripper and Coffee Lake are different in optimal workload though and 3rd gen Ryzen is supposedly much closer to Coffee Lake than Threadripper.

Eh... some of us just dont feel jaded. My last Intel CPU was $400 and lasted over 5 years. (4770k still works great) What would I have to be upset about? Recently upgraded to 9900k for only 50 bucks more than I paid for the 4770k. If you upgrade every iteration you're a lunatic whether its AMD or Intel you're rocking. I enjoy the stability and compatibility I've experienced with Intel/nvidia for many years. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from AMD cpus and ATI graphics from many years ago... I just cant seem to give them my money after how badly they screwed me with driver support and instability issues back in the day (yes I'm old.) Most of you folks are too young to remember. AMD after the k6-2 was terrible. Anyways, no need to sling names at folks for their hardware choices. Cheers.

Currently in the process of building a new machine and I am doing the same. I really want to pull the trigger on a 9900k right now but I am waiting to see the benchmarks on Zen 2. I am not sure if they will beat the 9900k for less $$. If they do beat the 9900k for $50 to $100 more, I might consider it though, if the price drops on the 9900k when the Zen 2 benchmarks are out.....

I feel you here. AMD graphics are finally much easier to update than they used to be which has made updating drivers on my laptop great. I used to rock many machine with the K6 chips back in the day (mostly running linux) and have been a fanboy of AMD since Athlon 64. That being said, every machine I have built for myself since Athlon 64 has had an AMD cpu with nvidia grpahics. Every machine I have built for anyone else has always been an Intel cpu with nVidia graphics for said stability issues.
