What is the difference between the WD Colours – Blue, Red, Black, Green, Purple?

from all these 4  which can be used  for  gaming?

Black=Peformance drives

Blue= everyday purpose drives

Green= Energy saving drives at the cost of some performance

Red= NAS drives, not recommended for gaming

Purple= Data center/survaliance drives, these have slow transfer speed but are reliable

Black, Blue & Green are all fine for every day use including gaming.

 

Black is best but also loudest

Blue is balanced speed noise

Green is slowest but also quietest

That's not their intended use though technically they'd still work fine, a hard drive is a hard drive after all.

Black is better than blue. But blue is cheaper .It depends on what you want.

I personally don't like seagate drives. I find them slow and unreliable. They also seem to have a high fail rate

Firmware? Don't know sure what you're asking. These drives are pyshically build diffrently. Also we already gave you the anwser on what's best for gaming.
