My PC just died on me

wassup

I was using my PC casually, and about a week ago, it started getting very slow. The fps were high at points but the sudden lags made it unplayable. After that, two days ago, my PC won't even turn on and this is what it says. PLZ HELP!

My guess is just a faulty drive. Get a Linux bootable drive, and pull any data you can access of that drive. Check the SMART disk status also to see if the drive has reading errors. It could also be things such as an MBR configuration problem or something like that, but my guess is a faulty drive due to symptoms prior to the error message.

I second a faulty drive, were you using a mechanical drive or an SSD ?? Once I get this error I always abandon ship with the drive, even if its SMART stats look fine.

Either way, get a new drive (I always recommend a 240GB drive from Amazon, they go for $30-$40, Kingston V300/A400 are great reliable choices for boot drives, arrives in 1-2days, free prime shipping since it's over $35 total).

Once you have a new boot drive, you can likely just hook up your old one as a 2nd drive and pull all the files off of it. Don't keep it as a 2nd drive since we already know it's faulty.

When you have the new drive setup, you'll likely need to go into disk management (right click start button > disk management) to reinitalize your old failed drive, then you can pull the old data off.

You'll need access to a 2nd computer and an 8GB+ USB to make a new windows bootable to install it to the new drive.

Download the Windows Media Creation tool here on another PC, use the simple steps to download and write it to a USB and use your bios boot options to boot from the USB once you have a new boot drive installed.
