"leaked" Ryzen 3600 benchmarks???

Go to solution Solved by GoldenLag,

Old news. About 3 weeks late iirc. APISAK  found them ages ago. Not that those were all that hard to find.

Look what I've just found:

https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Ryzen-7-2700X-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-3600/3958vs4040

Is it just me or this is a fresh "leaked" benchmark about the upcoming Ryzen 3rd gen. family? If it is true that the 3rd gen. will be a beast even compared to the 2nd generation. Is this kind of difference imaginable because of manufacturing technologies, I mean between 12nm and 7nm? Ryzen 3600 creamed 2700X and absolute devastated 2600x.

Now the question: Let's say I have 200 USD. What should I Buy? The 3600 or a discount for any other 2nd gen? (Streaming + gaming in 1080p)

I'm so late like my train to work all the time, lol. Still, the question stays. For 200 bucks, should I get an overkill 2nd gen or try to save a bit more for the 3600 ?

It really depends on what you wanna do with that CPU. For gaming 100% Ryzen 5 3600. If you have a lot of multi threaded work then the 2700x should serve you better(or you could get a 3700x)

Anyway, wait till these CPUs are out and see third party reviewers before making a decision, personally I'd stick with Gamers Nexus since his are very in depth.

I'll surely wait for 3rd party reviews, I'm still thinking. The 2700X is very attractive and it will have a huge price drop I think in the used market. However, that single core performance and 105W doesn't impress me. The 3600 might be enough to game + stream, but this is what I'll wait to see.

How does the 3600x use more power than the 3700x? Would the 3600x actually be better for gaming without OC?
