Hi all, first time PC builder here, I played around on PcPartPicker for a little bit and did some research on potential parts and I think I have a build at the moment but would love feedback and advice.
I'll be using this pc for gaming, but I'm not quite looking for 4k or VR capability.
This build comes out to USD 1176.40 with Windows 10 included, but I'm trying to keep costs at 1200 or below. I’ll be using it for gaming as well as web browsing/videos/school work. As for games, I want to be able to play a wide variety like Minecraft, Far Cry, Overwatch, Call of Duty, etc.

I have the necessary peripherals in terms of keyboard and mouse and a monitor and I won't need any optical drives, but any other things you think I may need are welcome!

Most gaming won't fully utilize all 8 cores, unless you're gonna stream the higher clock speeds of the 2600X would serve you better.

Better SSD that is NVMe

Meshify C has great airflow to feed the Ryzen's stock air cooler

The G2 is good choice, either way with the RMx or G2 you can't really go wrong

Wow thank you guys, I’ve been hearing a lot about NVidia releasing some new cards at E3 this year and something about an AMD Zen2? Is that something that I should wait until July and look at as well?

It's worth waiting and seeing, for Zen2. For Nvidia, I doubt it's worth waiting for. If you wanted something now, for gaming:

The 9400F will beat out the 2700 in gaming loads. The RTX 2070, while it isn't a great value from price/performance, it's still better than the 2060 and it fits in the budget. I'd definitely stick with RTX for Ray Tracing hardware in the wake of PS5 announcements supporting dedicated Ray Tracing hardware. I fit in a bigger and better SSD as well.
