Severe Bottleneck?

So my friend just shown me this Build and I was wondering if the 2600X would bottleneck the 2070.

That depends on the game, but if it does, it won't be by much.

Also, I have the 275 and I all but hate it. And really don't bother with the mediocre at best AIO, just get a decent air cooler.

Sounds good. Any recommendations because all I really know is the 212 evo black

It wont bottleneck unless you play like 720p low settings. The Ryzen 3xxx line releases on July 7th, for only $20 more he can get the Ryzen 5 3600 ($199) which will be 15%~ faster and use less power.

At 1080P it will some depending on the game, at 1440P no.

I'll probably do that instead, seeing as he dosnt need the PC until the end of summer

Ill set him up for 1440P then. Should I expect 60-100FPS?

Yeah that sounds about right for a 2070. NVIDIA will be announcing something “super” soon to which is rumoured to be a new SKU so may also push down the 2070 price
