Recently put together a new PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, ASUS PRIME X470-PRO MOBO, and GIGABYTE RTX 2080 gpu. Ive recently noticed that even instantly after startup Corsair LINK and SPECCY are showing idle CPU temps exceeding 90-100 C. I have a M.2 SSD as my boot drive so it only takes 30 seconds or so from turning on my computer to being logged in with these apps open, there is no way my CPU could reach these temperatures in that time. my CPU fan runs quiet too, which confuses me even more. And as a last note I have a few lights in my tower synced with the CPU temperature via iCUE, and based on the color shown its displaying temps between 20 and 40 C. I am confident it is a software issue but dont know where to start. Any information to help resolve this discrepancy will save me a lot of sleep so thank you in advance.

I have also attached a screenshot of speccy and Corsair link to show my system spec and idle temperature readouts. Also worth mentioning that the screenshots were taken at the exact same moment so there is even a 10 C variance in the temperature readout at any given time

You should try HWmonitor. It's pretty good in my opinion.

Went into BIOS as a followup, showing similar results as HWMonitor. Wondering what could be causing the descrepancy.

I wonder what it could've been...it's showing the right readings now though so...YAY :)
