Nvidia drives fail to install.

First pc specs:

 

Windows 8

Asus P5n32-E SLI

Intel Quad core Q6600

6GB of ram (different speeds but each on different channels)

GeForce 8800GT

Power supply nox nx series 520W

Running to displays different sizes and different resolutions.

 

As far as I know all worked fine in the morning.

 

 

The problem:

 

I was trying to install bluestacks and it said that I needed to update my graphics card drivers.

And it opened a link to nvidia for the download of the graphics card.

When it finished downloading the drivers I follow the regular proceeding but it failed to install.

 

A more detailed description of the problem:

 

The screens go black and I ear that windows sound when something new is plugged in, and the installer is saying it failed the install process.

My secondary screen goes black and doesn't come back again, only the primary screen does.

 

I tried uninstalling the drives but nothing changes, and now I'm running windows basic drivers for this card. I use to have a nvidia menu on the right menu button on the desktop its gone.

 

I went to see if windows update had something there, it did had 3 things, one was a windows 8 update installed that one without a problem, the others were this ones:

Both gave me the error code though windows update 800F022F

Wont be able to stream and im not sure on game optimization but it should do the drivers

It fails on virtual audio v 1.2.20 doesn't even go into nvidia experience install.

i had a similar problem with the latest update.  my screens went black and never came back on.. after half an hour i just pressed the power button on my computer, and when it came up, it said it had the latest version. didnt really think much of it after that.

my wife did the same update at the same time as i did, and had the exact same issue. so clearly its an issue with the latest patch

have you tried downloading from the official website of nvidia? or

try visiting the manufacturer of your card and get the latest driver there

 

don't rely on windows update giving you stuffs like that.. IMO hehe
