Hi guys! Looking for some advice ASAP. Looking to get a new custom PC but I’m not building myself see screenshot below for config. Please advise on any issues with components etc. I also do some photo and video edit on the side so that would be an extra requirement!

Ye I agree, 6TB is a bit much. I reckon even 2 TB of NVME SSD is More than enough.
I don't know how much you care, but the MasterBox Lite has some pretty Bad Looking RGB Fans Compared to other fans. I would probably opt for a different case if I carried about looks

Wow nearly £4K for that ?

The motherboard isn't great for the money. A Gigabyte Z390 Master is far better.

You want a better cooler than a 120mm AIO. The H80i is actually pretty decent for a single rad cooler but a BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4 would be better for less money.

A 1000W psu is overkill. You would be fine with 650W.

If you go with the Gigabyte Z390 Master, Ultra or Pro wifi they all have wifi built in so no need for an adapter.

A soundcard is not really needed. The onboard is good these days especially on higher end boards.

Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut would be my choice for thermal paste. Not really needed though.

The storage and case have been mentioned above so nothing to add on that.

Also any reason you don't want to build it yourself ?

I need a lot of storage for photos I do lot of photography and I currently use about 4-5gb on my current PC including external drives, which I’m trying not to use as transfer speeds are slow when moving lots of RAW photos across etc. I play a wide range of games from Total War series to War Thunder to DCS world while recording as well.

I have an AOC AG322QCX 31.5 Inch Widescreen MVA LED Multimedia Curved Monitor (2560 x 1440/4 ms/ VGA/2 x HDMI/2 x DP/USB)

Ok fair enough on the case I’ll have another look there aren’t too many choices on pc specialist but I do somewhat care how it looks but overall performance is the main aspect.

Is that a lot for the components? Not too worried about price as long as the overall build is worth that.

As for motherboards the choices on the site are attached.

Ok I have very little idea what to look for in regards to cooling systems so not sure what the names etc. mean.

I went for a bigger psu in case I upgrade or add anything in the future but might reduce to 850w or 750w in that case.

With regards to WiFi built in I have my pc connected with Ethernet so not essential.

Is there any increase in sound quality with a sound card? I just liked the features on that model which is why I chose it and my last built in sound card was crap.

I just added the better paste as it was only £6 and considering the price I thought I might as well get a slightly better paste.

And as to the building it myself I just don’t have a clue what I’m doing or really trust myself not to butcher it ?

thanks for the advice.

The Aorus Master is a way better option.

As for building your own it isn't as difficult as you might think. There are loads of guides on Youtube (Just not the Verge one) that you can watch. If you are dead set on not building then I would look at other pc stores such as Overclockers UK, Scan and Aria (Gladiator pc) just for more options.

How much of a rush are you in ? The Ryzen 3xxx cpu's will launch on the 7th July along with X570 boards. That could have an effect on current prices.

If you need something right now then I would also consider current Ryzen as you get more for your money. A 2700X and solid board such as the ASRock X470 Taichi would allow for future upgrades (12 core and 16 core).

What monitor are you going to be using ?

To clarify here: The gear is MOSTLY good.

There are parts that need updated, and you are vastly overspending on this. You should just build yourself.

As for SLI, it's not going to provide much of a boost if any. In most applications it's actually detrimental these days.

Paying more for a second already overpowered GPU doesn't make sense. Frankly for your games listed, an RTX 2060 is plenty of GPU, let alone a 2070, 2080 or 2080ti. The 2080 has a much higher price to performance value.

The build @lee32uk posted is distinctly better hardware for 800 pounds less... Is having somebody put your Lego house together worth 800 pounds to you? Build it yourself and go buy a new lense... Here's a step by step how to by a real ass dude :P:

Just build it yourself. it's easier than building Ikea furniture and pretty easy to follow with guides and youtube videos. As for messing something up that's pretty hard to do. I've dropped my case like 3 times while building mine cause I tilted it too far and nothing broke and everything worked fine later.

Use the money saved to buy occulus rift or something or another monitor.
