How to get back into PC building?

UltimaHeart

I took somewhat of a hiatus from I guess the world of PC building, specs, and all that. Now I'm interested in going back to it. Is there any good videos you guys can recommend that can refresh my memory and get me back into the swing of things? There is so much I forgot about and it really sucks

AMD is relevant again.

Turing is pascal refresh with limited raytracing and useless DLSS

Intel is refreshing and taping on cores to keep up with corecount of AMD

Intel still struggling with 10nm

6 cores is now the norm of new Gaming systems.

That should get you up to speed.

I use an i5-7600k. So does this mean I should ditch intel now

if the performance is lacking, you might consider an upgrade, but the 7600k is still very capable. expect some frametime stuttering in newer games.

Zen 2 is comming and that seems rather interesting when it comes to PC building and the market in general. we just had a keynote at computex and a launchdate of the 7th of 7th launching their 7nm CPUs (yeah i know, very clever (777 as in the jackpot))

you dont have to force yourself back, when you need an upgrade, say a gpu.

you will do some research comparing all around and look for best.then accidentally you will find all unrelated reviews to other parts
