More Ram = Wont even boot

So i finally got my extra kit of two hyperx fury 2666mhz 4gb (totall now 4x4gb).

When i pushed them all inn and tried to start my pc wouldnt even get to the bios... Never seen that problem before.
Guessing its the psu? or bad ram? Or is it just little me that needs to do something in the bios before install?

1. Reset the bios after plugging.

2. One of the memory might be damaged, or the old memory is rusty, clean it with an eraser.

3. Your motherboard may not support the memory speed in all slots.

4. Your new kit is different from the old one (the component) may not be compatible (but this is highly unlikely).

Pull them all out and try the new kit by itself.

Then add the old kit.

If that works, great.  If not, do each stick singly.  If all work, try differing pairs until you have all 4 working.

If you simply can't get all 4 working, and they all work separately, drink heavily and RMA all 4 sticks and demand a 2x8 kit as replacement.  This has worked in the past.

You can't, unless you open the heatsink which will void the warranty.

Sometimes the chipset is different from time to time, one moment they used micron next time used hynix.

Sometimes they used double rank and now used single rank because nobody make the lower density chip anymore.

Some motherboard have a requirements for mixing single rank and double rank, like most Ryzen motherboards.

But compability issue between chip is a thing of the past, i always mix and match different modules without any problem in the past decade.

Just stating the possibility.

Well now the fun begins. Non of the new chips worked on their own, or in pair... only my original worked.

Damn...

It's a common thing to received a DOA modules.

But usually one of the stick is dead but not both.

I suggest return it.

But have you clean it?

Those maybe an old stock, the copper fingers (or maybe gold) may developed a thin layer of dust / rust.

I get this with old modules sometimes.

Get a pencil eraser and gently rubbing those fingers.
