a i5 9400 would have no future proofing to it meaning in 2 years i will for sure need to replace. which is a high chance of needing to replace the cpu, ram and mobo which is a massive overhaul i dont wanna do one of those for 5-6 years. which is why i say that i think a 1660ti would be perfect for a 32 inch 1080p 60 hz monitor that i only game on about 20% of the time. if in 2 years i want a better gpu and monitor i can upgrade and hopefully the pricing will have dropped for 4k monitors and then maybe for 1500 i can get a new gpu and monitor and be set for awhile.
