Working Asus Maximus III Extreme/Formula needed please!

In need of one of these boards as I have a perfectly fine i7 880 that OCs to 3.8GHz and pushes most modern games but the board (Formula III) that I currently have, has some power issue where it fails to start on many occasions. The board was refurbished before I bought it off of eBay and I knew what I was getting into and quite frankly it has lasted quite some time since I bought it, but this issue is quite persistent now. I'm willing to pay for the board of course, but please be reasonable :).

Honestly your better off grabbing a new mobo for cheaper then a Maximum III, and much cheaper at that 150 compared to 250+ and buy a used CPU from ebay and what not.

Also wtf is a i7 880 ?  i7 all CPU's are 4 characters. like 3930k or 48xxk or 5700k or 6700k or 7700k or 8700k or 9900k .  WTF is a 880 lol,  unless I'm clueless.

Sorry, jstudrawa my bad.... Personally I had never heard of a 880 i7 .... To me it was always a 4 character series. Like Sandy Bridge 2600k and then 39xxk etc.  What is the overclock your getting on the 880?  That can make a huge difference depending on what your doing.

>he doesn't know about the legendary i7 990x

it's ok all is forgiven OP is kinda cooky though considering he could sell his CPU on ebay for about $70 and pickup a multithreaded 6 core ryzen processor and mobo for less, of course he would need to but some ddr4 ram so that would cost him like another $80

i'm cooky too though I was planning on building either or a 1 or 2 processor 16 core (slightly underclocked 7960x) ES pc with a supermicro mobo if only AMD hadn't thwarted my plans with affordable CPU's

Literally just buy a 1920x is best CPU

AMD shill

AORUS shill

Enjoy me while I'm here, BANHAMMER INC

Oh now I remember the 980 and 990 that was long time ago tho.  Very long time ago.  I would listen to SigmaDire on this one.
