so is my MOBO cooking and should i perhaps intervene by ?replacing the thermal paste under the heatsinks?

Those sensors are known to be buggy and/or broken. For such a old hardware, I don't think you should worry too much. If it has survived for 7 years, its fine for few more.

Hi Folks. Do these TMPIN0, TMPIN1 and TMPIN2 temps look realistic or is HWMonitor just buggy?

It seems unreal that my CPU is running so cool yet my board is, well, cooking.

*Note: the rig is not overclocked

Thanks in advance!

your CPU frequency is stock but the CPU voltages are those of a fully overclocked settings...you can certainly lower the CPU vcore substantially, or increase the frequency without issues.

id guess VRM temps, those are not the CPU temps

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

I have never played around with the voltages on any of my rigs. So my question, is the MB turning on some auto-clocking feature by itself?

I consider myself tech savvy but not to that extreme in terms of clocking.

If it helps, I have a 850w Super Flower PSU (SF-850R14HE)

Thats normal dont worry, I have the same issue with my fx 8150. And if its oc it will get even more strange like -111c

just put your finger on the vrm heatsink and check if it hot.

On my asus corsair v formula z with 5ghz and 1.5v they never go more then 80c.

yeah this is making sense to me, just like how the idle temps are 16c ?! its impossible to be running that cold

Thats more about AMD's old temp sensors counting temps way different. Those mentioned sensors are mobos, so you can forget them. Actual temps for CPU look normal.
