This time it popped up with gigabyte and some other words and then went to black screen when trying to boot from onboard graphics

I kinda suspect your PSU to be an issue here. If you managed to get motherboard logo using E-GPU, that means your system posts. So when you were trying to boot using RX580, your PSU couldn't make it.

Nothing stops it from being faulty.
