Audioquest Dragonfly

ANyone have expierence with this dac? When it first came out it was about 300 dollars, but now it can be had for 150ish, is it worth it ? Its size really appeals to me for portable, airplane use ect... i could even custom rig it to fit on my keychain and have great audio no matter what computer i'm on.

I have a 2019 macbook pro with 64gb of ram and my gaming pc has been in the closet since 2018

The sound quality on the Audioquest DragonFly atleast the v1.0 is noticeably better than Fiio E17.

 

last time i checked the version 1 cost $99 bnew

 

 

the only problem with it is that it wont be able to drive high impedance headphones such as DT 880 pro 600 ohm (i read somewhere dragonfly is only able to drive 150 ohm)

 

you would need a separate AMP.

 

 

though for most headphone, it should be fine.

I have no personal experience with this product, but I do have a major problem taking this company seriously. Given their obvious snake oil and fraud in the cable industry it would be very difficult to assume any accuracy in their specs or claims.

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.
