Hello everyone!

So my question is- If I obtain a class E license what is the maximum load weight I can haul. And can I drive a 1 ton truck with a gooseneck? I keep seeing a number of GVWT allowing only up to 26000 lbs. But I’m getting confused with how they determine the GVWR. Btw, I’m in MO.

GVWR is the weight of the vehicle, passengers, load, etc. This number will be provided to you by the vehicle manufacturer. Subtract the weight of the truck from the GVWR, and that's how much it can carry.

For the trailer, it seems largely dependent upon whether it's private or commercial use. If you're just hauling your own junk, you should be good to go.
