Overclocking CPU

I have a AMD FX 8320 at 3.2ghz but I want to overclock it a bit. I have a Hyper 212 evo on it and 2 case fans what programs can I use to overclock my cpu and how much would I be able to overclock it by?

You will need the mobo utility, Prime95, OCCT, Coretemp, CPU-Z, and HWMonitor.

 

Every CPU is different so we have no way to know how far your CPU will OC.

None.

 

You set everything up in BIOs. Then you use Prime95 to stability test. If it fails then you will take steps to get the system stable(depends on how it fails)

I would recommend that you start to read a little about OverClocking, before you do it, just so you get the idea what it is, and how to do it. I'm justing say this so you hopefully won't ruin your CPU

If you don't know what I BIOS is, you'd better do a lot more research before you even think about OCing. But otherwise, a BIOS is your motherboard's lowest level settings. You can change very small things that can change the way your components behave.

Yep do some more research man. The only thing you should really be careful of is your voltages. Be sure to know what's the max safe voltage before altering it.

I recommend occt for stress testing. It's great.
