hi guys i need one more thing for my build. so this is a cheap power supply but should i change it or stay with it ? what benefit would i get changing it ? i have seen people say its bad for this build, but 750w is enough for this build. why would a 750w psu exist if it cant handle this?

How about not breaking $1714~ worth of hardware? good enough reason?

 

Besides for 5 dollars more you get peace of mind with a better unit, fully modular and much more silent.

Good choice. The RMx is good PSU, should last you for many years

How on Earth will a GQ break hardware? It performs well electrically, has quality caps, and has a good hold-up time. It's a little louder than other units, and there are better choices like the RMx, but it's by no means a hazard!

I know, I just mentioned the usual standard reply why PSU is imporant, GQ is not bad but it is on the loud side is all, and honestly at this price range if you have the alternative to go fully modular it's worth it.

here i may just go with this https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Supernova-Modular-Warranty-220-G3-0750-X1/dp/B005BE058W/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 . i see many comments saying it goes well with rtx 2080. i saw a guy saying the other psu (corsair rmx ) died on him after a week of use and he had the same specs as me. this is only 5$ extra

That doesn't mean anything, almost any power supply with PCIe connectors goes well with an RTX 2080.

Yeah power supplies have failure rates, just like any other product. I'd rather have an RMX than a G3, good OPP, better ripple (I think), and better fan.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

You will find similar reports for all brands of psu. A search of issues with the G3 turned up concerns with over power protection. You will even see some claims of a unit "exploding". 

 

G3 are also noisier than RMx. IMO, the RMx would be a better choice.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

a white RMx 750w fits your build better and is actually a small bit cheaper.

Pretty solid build, but if you are just gaming then you could get double the SSD storage space with a standard SATA one. If you are doing things like Video editing or working with large files then the 970 EVO is good for that. For things like boot/load times it won't really make much of a difference.

Oh and you still don't need 750W ?

 

Having said that though, the White 750W version is cheaper as mentioned by Herman (Assuming you are in the USA) and you get nicer cables with it.
